Summary
Gordon is not exactly an approachable engine. There's a good heart in there somewhere, but you gotta get through several layers of "I AM THE BEST AND I PULL THE EXPRESS" to get there. Sometimes, Henry wonders if Gordon actually likes him or just sees him as another little engine to look down upon.
He gets his answer one day, however, when a certain diesel engine learns the hard way that no one makes fun of Gordon's friends but Gordon.

Summary
Henry doesn't want to admit it, not even to himself, but he's terrified of thunder and lightning. He knows it's stupid and irrational - lightning can't get him in the shed, and thunder is nothing but a sound - but he just can't help it. He hates it, not just because the terror it puts him through but the shame he endures as an engine scared of something so harmless.
One stormy night in Tidmouth, when the thunder and lightning prove too much to handle, he's comforted by the last engine he'd expect. Or perhaps, it isn't so unexpected after all.
