    The boy was familiar. Terribly familiar. He had serious pale blue eyes, and sharp eyebrows pushed into a furrow. Floppy dark hair that Jason knew Alfred must have cut because he used to cut Dick and Jason’s in the exact same style. Eyes big in a way that Jason had only ever seen rendered in oil paints in the Manor, on a little boy caught between two ghosts.

    Jason Todd made his return to Gotham. His final resting place, the home of his father and his and his father.

    And he had come armed with plans and half forgotten memories and a vengeful drive pumping his heart.

    And everything was going well, was going so well.

    Until he found a kid with a familiar blue gaze, grim and sharp and barely nine.

    Jason Todd is not in the business of getting bloody revenge on a third- sorry, fourth grader, thank you.
