Summary
Willow is content to raise a little one on her own and spare as few thoughts as possible towards the baby's father.
That gets rather difficult when he's rather unceremoniously dumped on her doorstep.
It turns out that conquering the hells requires rather more than raw power, and Mephistopheles is only too happy to strip that all away from his upstart progeny.
Can Raphael learn to live as a mortal man, at least long enough to change his stars? Even with the help of his lovely tiefling lady, that seems a tall order.

When Rook gets separated from the group, at the end of everything, she makes it a mission to distract the Sun God, and doesn't anticipate how it makes her feel. Nor, it seems, does she anticipate just how interested her target becomes, either.

Who wasn’t? She was pretty sure half of Ferelden had at least read Hard in Hightown, doubly so for dwarves.
She’d heard the name Varric tossed around once or twice before it clicked. He’d apparently been away with the Inquisitor on some mission or another—what had they said? Hinterlands? Crestwood? Somewhere in that direction.
“It’s hard to tell if you’re being sarcastic or not.”
“Good.”A pink-haired bard shows up to Skyhold to roost in Herald's Rest. She and Varric become fast friends before realizing that the connection they've fostered goes deeper than either of them expected.
