Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.

Summary
It was a simple mission. This mindset, Kakashi reflected, watching as the world warped and snapped to pieces around him, is likely why things go wrong.
He and Shikamaru—plus a hidden entourage of ANBU—were visiting Uzushio, to assess the damage done and see if it could be fixed. It was a post-mortem way to pay respects to all who’d lost their lives there. More of a diplomatic gesture than anything.
Of course there had to be a secret entrance to a giant cavern, its walls lined with scrolls. Kakashi meant to use his chakra for a small light to see by, but instead activated the intricately carved seal on the ground, hidden by years of dust and debris.
It lit up, brilliantly so, illuminating Kakashi’s resigned face and Shikarmaru’s annoyed one in a wash of too-bright white.
And then they were gone. The ANBU halted in their tracks.
“Well, shit,” one of them said, dropping their head in their hands.
or,
Kakashi becomes an information broker. Aizawa Shouta goes on a wild goose chase to find out his mysterious backstory. And Shikamaru is still missing, damn it.
