A few months ago, Damon was magically transported from his not-that-awesome life in 1862 to modern day Mystic Falls. Stefan is recovering from being forced into ripper-mode by Klaus. He knows Damon and Elena are only safe because Klaus believes them dead, and is desperate not to draw supernatural attention to them. But Damon’s not going to let such a trifling threat spoil his plans, which involve teaming up with Bonnie and exploiting magic to protect his loved-ones. And Damon being Damon, he won’t easily give up... whatever the cost to love and friendship.
Soapy fluff, light h/c and whump, with slightly more focus on Bamon friendship and Defan brotherly bonding than the previous fic, against the backdrop of soft Dalaric romance.

When Tobirama wakes up, his eyeballs are assaulted by a harsh light. He wonders if this is the afterlife. Probably not if his eyeballs hurt. He squints, and almost immediately a shadow looms over him. He flails, and that's when he notices his arm is a lot shorter than normal.
When he looks up, he sees the face of his mother, father, and older brother staring down at him. Upon the realization that he was very much alive and not dead, and the fact that he was somehow a baby again, Tobirama screams.

Soft paws pressed against cold stone following the lines of the symbol scratched into it. The symbol consisted of three little shapes. Two of the shapes were triangles, the other shape was more formed like a crystal. If you would put them together they would form a triangle that's upside down.
The two triangle shapes formed the top of the symbol, the crystal shape the bottom.
The cats paws were following the lines of the shape on the bottom of the symbol. Never once touching the the two shapes on top. The cat didn't know for how long he was already sitting there doing nothing but staring at the symbol. So simple but yet, so important.
A sigh was heard as the paw finally stopped tracing the lines. Nobody deserved to be treated like less of a cat. The ginger thought now staring at the symbol as a whole. So how did he get to this point?
