Lycaon let his head tip back to break their stare.
“Hurry, perhaps.” He said and for once Hugo didn't talk back.
Lycaon takes time off rarely but always after ticking the correct boxes. Hugo finds out what that warehouse is usually used for and PubSec doesn't get called.

It’s as though nothing could make the man happy—or, more likely, there was not really anything Nero could do to please him, except that brief moment, where neither of them had been looking at each other, just ten heartbeats worth of a space—

From here, it is unrealistic to believe that there is a world or a time or a future where Nero stays here, where he enjoys staying here, where Cid enjoys him staying here, where they work toward a common goal. The possibility that they lean close and share secrets, that they share coffee and humor, and whatever else, feels just as unviable. The potential for that future had slipped by long ago, too long ago to measure. Maybe that future had never been meant for this Nero and this Cid at all.

That Illya was partial to donning disguises for missions had come as a surprise after Rome, but apparently it’s part and parcel for KGB operations. Napoleon had given him no end of grief the first time he pulled out a fake mustache, and he still does, if he’s honest. How could he possibly resist, especially when Illya glares at him and turns such an appealing shade of pink?
That’s probably why most of the time Illya doesn’t tell them about his disguises anymore, he just shows up in them and forces Napoleon to have to keep a straight face in the middle of a mission.
(Or, 5 times Illya doesn’t fool Napoleon and Gaby with his disguises, and 1 when he does.)
