Summary
Pomni’s last conversation with Jax is still running through her head – and her body, judging by the way she keeps flickering and twitching. She’s gone, Pomni couldn’t stop it, and the Circus is still a complete fucking mess.
But Jax left something behind that the other abstractions didn’t. In those last moments, before everything faded to white, Pomni was able to witness her remaining memories and distorted perceptions.
The framework of the Digital Circus was built with a single purpose: Take people’s memories and use it to create copies that will live forever.
Can it still work from the inside, and with so little data? Is it even worth trying?
There’s only one way to find out.

Two women whose lives are completely different from one another cross paths because of one stupid adventure.
Abigail’s life is as boring as watching paint dry; a 9-to-5 accounting job keeps her life in a boring, repetitive routine. Her only light is the urban explorations she does on her breaks.
Suzie’s life is a mess; after a broken-up marriage, after she learns to embrace the part of herself she has hidden for years, she cuts contact with all her family, and her friendships are nonexistent, but finding a video on YouTube opens her eyes to new opportunities.
A supermarket mishap, a colorful bar, and a group with the same experience might be just what they need.

"Why are you here?" Jax asks, and Pomni has to pause. Because it might be the most genuine question they've ever asked. The answer is so clear in her mind that she wants to grab them by the shoulders and scream until they understand she wants them in her life. Until they understand why.
She doesn't want them to run. She won't survive watching them run again. She stays still.
"I wanted to see you." She responds.
"What, to come and say goodbye?" Jax laughs humourlessly. "You're only hurting me more by doing this."
"Don't put this on me," Pomni walks. She can't tell if she's getting closer to them or not. "And don't put it on yourself either."
