The year is 1773, and various churches in Europe are in a race to convert the newly-contacted peoples of South America to their particular flavor of Christianity. But something strange has been going on: the missionaries keep vanishing and nobody knows what's been happening to them, not even Heaven or Hell. So, of course, they both had to send their 'best' Earth-side observers to get some answers.
...They're going to wish they hadn't. And so are the observers.

“Mhm,” Crowley agreed absentmindedly, “thisss, it’s nice.”
“You enjoy it, dear?” Aziraphale asked, although Crowley suspected he knew the answer well. “I’m so very glad. I love this, really, you have such wonderful hair. Thank you.”
Aziraphale drew closer to his neck as he spoke, all but whispering the last few words. It sent shivers down Crowley’s spine.
Aziraphale hummed as he felt him tremble, the bastard.
