“Is something the matter?” he asks, briefly glancing upward. Mabel’s eyes sparkle with mischief, and she flops over onto her side, dramatically bringing a hand to her forehead.
“I’m out of glitter glue, Grunkle Ford. How’s a girl supposed to get anything done around here without it?” She leans over the arm of the couch, twisting onto her stomach, peeking curiously at his writing. “What’re you doing?”
“A troubling predicament,” he says, smiling a little. He finishes off the sentence he was on. “Studying the manticore venom we found last week. You say you’re out entirely?”
Mabel nods, gravely. “And Grunkle Stan can’t drive me to the Shmichael’s over in Nedford because he’s got a tour going on and Dipper wouldn’t steal his keys with me because ‘neither of us know how to drive and also we’re thirteen’ which I think is so lame of him.”

Well, he was going to notice they were by themselves sooner or later. So Tommy didn’t feel bad about shaking his head. “Our parents sent us on holiday. We’ll be meeting them at our destination.”

Summary
“We just want to ask a few questions,” Zephyrus explains, and in a blink the three top supervillains stand in front of him; Ares, Melpomene and Zephyrus all banded together to cast a menacing shadow over his head.
“Oh, fuck no,” he spits, thrashing harder against his restraints and ignoring the way the ropes chafe uncomfortably against the soft flesh of his wrists. Ares snorts and Melpomene only grins, as if he’s just seen something particularly amusing.
“Well, if you don’t answer, then we’ll just have to make you,” the villain muses, making him flinch as the man leans in closer to ghost his breath against his ear.
Tommy grumbles unintelligibly, leaning back in his chair as he resigns himself completely to his fate. All he has to do is lie well enough on the questions that they don’t suspect anything. Simple. Easy.
“So, we understand you have a pretty strong healing factor.”
Oh, he’s fucked.

"Tommy, kids are always going to be assholes." Phil says, for once sounding like a robot, almost monotone in that way Techno's tone is on the daily. "Just ignore them. They're probably just miserable and," Phil lifts one hand and waves it around, gesturing, before bringing it back down to continue typing. He doesn't turn around to look at Tommy at all. "—you know." he sighs.
"You can a handle it." his dad says. "Just— grow up. Be the bigger person."
A heavy weight like a stone drops in Tommy's stomach. He feels it, and with the stone, his heart as well. For a second, he thinks he might be sick.
Just grow up.
"O—oh." Tommy chokes, feeling a ball forming in his throat, blocking it up, causing tears to prick at his eyes. He goes to try to speak around it, but—
"Is there anything else you need?" Phil asks, endlessly facing away, still not even bothering to face Tommy. "I'm really busy, kiddo."

Summary
Things didn’t go as planned. If the familiar lurch in Tommy’s stomach was any indicator. They never did. Not for Tommy. He was bad luck no matter what he did, who he hung out with, nothing could shake this boy of his bad luck streak. Tommy knew that. So for the longest time he hung out by himself. Stealing to live, sleeping in alley’s. He was a survivor. And that was the only thing important to him. He didn’t want his bad luck to ruin anyone else's life.
His feet hit the wet concrete, water soaking through his worn sneakers and splashing behind him. Rain pelted from the sky, unyielding in every direction. Splish, Splash. The adrenaline raced through his veins as he ran for his life, clutching a wallet he had stolen from some rich guy- who apparently had a taste for blood. Mind cloudy as he only had one thing on his mind, he fought desperately to lose the person behind him. He didn’t know who his assailant was, the only identifiable feature was his pink hair, long and tied into a braid down his back. The street lamps flickered with the evidence of poor maintenance.

Mr. Sam’s dark eyes softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Tommy’s shoulder, squeezing it gently. “Everyone has to start somewhere; every poet, from me to Rudy Francisco, started off without knowing a clue about what we were doing. Tommy is the only one in the entire family that doesn’t know that his dad, the one and only Philza Craft runs The Syndicate. AKA the most powerful mafia in the entire city. Phil intends to keep it that way for as long as possible, having his other sons Technoblade and Wilbur already a part of the family business. They all agreed not to get Tommy involved until he was ready.
Turns out Wilbur and Techno didn’t actually care about that agreement and started teaching their younger brother the ‘tricks of the trade’ years ago and Phil is just now finding out about this. Who in the world teaches a 14 year old how to hot-wire a car?

SBI Mafia AU following Tommy’s adventures as an unknowing mafia prince and all the skills and shenanigans he and his brothers got up to without him ever putting two and two together. Plus, Tommy's best friend may or may not be the son of Schlatt, the head of the competing mafia in the city. “Thank the gods I’m not human, then,” Tommy says brightly, and stands. “We can start next week!”
