Well- scratch that. The first thing Techno felt was actually a distinct lack of pain, which only served to make the following pain worse.
All in all, it was much better than he expected, given the fact that he had just been shot in the head. Honestly, he didn't expect to wake up from that one. And (most likely) neither did the guy who shot him, so that made things a little easier. You don't have to run away from a person who thinks you're six feet under with a gaping hole where a chunk of your head used to be."

Hawks knows he can’t be real, because this is all some sort of dream, although he feels as though he shouldn’t be in a dream at the moment. He had been… busy. Doing… something. Then he was fading into a scene, a memory. Back to he and Dabi sitting together in Dabi’s old room at the PLF headquarters, before the whole building was destroyed in the raid. They had kissed in this room, just once, tentatively, a week before Hawks killed Bubaigawara and Dabi burned Hawks near to death in his manic rage.Or; When Dabi and Hawks wake up in a reality that imitates their romantic dreams, they both have an opportunity to explore their budding relationship without the pressure of the world around them. Meanwhile, they aren't the only ones trapped in this dream, and Class 1-A searches for the group of suddenly missing persons.
