It's been a year since the Good Friday Murder, and Jud has settled into this place as Reverend for Chimney Rock's parish, with his few months of being the churches primary pastor under his belt, and a good(?) friend checking up on him every few months to ensure things are going smoothly. However, when Benoit's car is completely wrecked by a myterious man with an axe and he's left stranded at Our Lady of Perpetual Grace until morning, Jud insists the detective stay the night in the rectory.

Totally not like Benoit's been holding a candle for the younger man since they first met and is *this* close to throwing the priest onto the altar and riding him until Judgement Day.

But she’s staring at him like she knows how scared he is, like she’s been exactly where he is and only wants him to have the support she didn’t have. So he gives in. She promises that he’ll be good company, and that he has nothing to worry about. He decides to trust her because he can’t really trust anyone else.

Blaine laughs then, it escapes from him in a snort that still manages to make him look like an old Hollywood star. “Never heard from you while I was still married though.”
Sebastian sighs and adjusts himself on his chair, it creaks under his weight when he sits back and spreads his legs, Blaine’s eyes follow the movement. “I’m playing fair this time. I don’t want to cause any trouble.” He sits up once more, the table is narrow and he ends up right in Blaine’s personal space. “I just want you and me to finally get things where they should have always been.”
