Summary
‘Till death do us part’, a clichéd phrase that, for a certain angel and demon, meant nothing more than a nod to human romanticism. Yet millennia later, holding hands in the bookshop, those words become a terrifying reality. Being able to finally change things, as they had tried and wished for so many times, leads them to make a decision in which the greater good comes before a possible and happy future together.
It is the end. Their end. So they have decided.
However, there is also another phrase that, in those moments, they could not even put into words: ‘Love conquers all’.
Billions of years after the creation of the universe we know today, two beings, two souls, meet in a London bookshop. It is love at first sight, their interest immense, and one might even say, ironically, that the universe and fate have conspired to bring them together. Time is and will be the force responsible for awakening them, remembering who they really are and granting them, this time for real, the life they have always longed for.

Cangse Sanren's eyes are wide and full of hope, and Lan Wangji is suddenly struck by the realization that he is the only one in the world now who would still speak of Wei Ying with fondness. Who knows him enough outside of the wild and hurtful rumors scattered across the land. Just him, in all of his own failings and his poor grasp of words.
But Lan Wangji had failed Wei Ying once, and if he could not speak for Wei Ying when the whole world had bayed for his blood, then he owes it to Wei Ying to speak of him kindly now, to let his meagre words tumble out of lips unused still to speech after years of silence. He doesn't expect there to be so much words inside him, doesn't expect that his words would carry him until the sky darkens around them. Doesn't expect the embrace enveloping him after he is done - Warm and firm and safe.

The dark figure pointed with his flute. “There’s the road. Be on your way and don’t come back.” His tone dismissed them, a threat threaded between the words.
Cangse Sanren was not often afraid. She had been afraid as a child on the street, before she was found by Baoshan Sanren. She was afraid when the spider demon cornered them earlier that night, and she thought she would never see her baby boy again. She wondered vaguely if she should be afraid now.
But mostly she was just irritated.
She started to yell back at him, but lightning flashed, illuminating the people on horseback: elderly, bloody and bruised, in torn robes of sun and flames. As the lightning lit up all of their faces, the flutist’s cruel expression suddenly dropped, and his eyes went wide.
When he didn’t look so vicious, he was quite handsome. Maybe even vaguely familiar, somehow.

Cangse Sanren was the first to move, running as fast as her legs would take her to her son. As she knelt down next to him, reaching out and clasping one of his bloody hands within hers, his eyes turned towards her before slowly widening.
“A-Niang?”
A sob wrenched its way out of her as she nodded, a hand reaching towards her son’s face, cupping his cold cheek.
“A-Ying.” She whispered, her voice breaking as she saw her husband on the other side of their son, grabbing his hand.
Cangse watched as her son slowly turned his head towards his father with the same look of disbelief as a small smile bloomed across his face.
Then his eyes rolled back and his hands went slack.

A small, sharp breath escaped Yu Ziyuan—not quite a laugh, not quite a sigh. She did not turn from the window.
“A foundation,” she echoed, her voice low. “Or a pyre. You see the light he casts. I see the shadows it attracts. You think you are building him a fortress. You are painting a target on his back and handing our son the bow.”

Bruce isn’t sure what to expect when he walks into the meeting led by Red Hood. Even though his recent ‘rescue’ at the hands of Hood had Bruce looking at the new crime lord's activities with a fresh light, there was still the more pressing concern.
Red Hood had deliberately gone for and pressed the emergency beacon hidden on his belt. It could simply be that Red Hood had observed one of them using it. Or perhaps this newest criminal to Gotham just thought Batman was partial to the billionaire as some rumors suggested.
Or Red Hood knows Bruce Wayne’s secret.

“Go away,” Jason mumbled into his pillow. He felt himself being pulled back into sleep when he was rudely interrupted by a small voice.
“Akhi, wake up.”
He groggily opened his eyes to the sight of Damian (son of the bat and heir to the demon head, as he so often reminded him) standing on the side of the bed. Something about the way he was holding himself reminded Jason of their league days, when Damian was smaller and depended on him for more.
“Hey Dames. B make you mad again?”
"Not necessarily.” He looked down, his haughty tone softening. “I threw up.”
Damian gets the flu and goes to his brother for comfort. The rest of the family freaks out because

May 31st 1986, two weeks until graduation. Robin, Eddie, and Nancy are all set to walk across the stage, Eddie being given a free pass after the whole ‘almost framed for murder’ thing. The three have been trying to be excited about their graduation, but it feels almost mundane to be excited when Steve wouldn’t be there. They would be sat out on a football field in the blistering heat while waiting for their names to be called, with Dustin and Max in the crowd, cheering them on in Steve's place. There would be fake smiles plastered to all their faces, no matter how realistic they tried to make them.
None of them have genuinely smiled since Steve got Vecna'd.
Sixty-Five days. Steve had been in a coma for Sixty-Five days. The doctors keep telling The Party that it doesn't look good, that Steve's injures had been severe, and that they didn't know if, when, he would wake up.
But they refused to lose hope.
He'll wake up.
It's just a matter of time.
