Seeing so many stars at once was breathtaking, and the way they shined reminded him of something. He just couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

"Like diamonds."
Sonic breaks his gaze from the sky to Shadow. "Yeah." He casts his eyes back up to the sky and surveys them with newfound admiration. "They're like diamonds."
A moment of silence descended upon them, and a gentle breeze carrying the crisp smell of pine swept through their quills.
