Mai was always a bit of a loner. Her only respite was when Ryuji had begged for her spare of the school paper. Just so he could read how they portrayed his winnings on the track team and to look at the pictures she took of him during his races. They were just two loners who seemed to do increasingly well stuck together.
Ryuji didn't expect their relationship to soar like it did.. especially after all the issues they seemed to share.EXTRA-
I have not written for forever and Ryuji is the only thing that has brought me back tbh. uhhh
WHILE WRITING THIS, I HAVE NOT FINISHED THE INGAME STORY. I will try and give updates on where I am at the end of each chapter so it'll be clear on where I am in my knowledge on the canon story.
Either way, the story itself will most likely only go up to Palace 3 or 4 if I'm feeling chipper.

But Luke wanted more. He had always wanted more, from when he first saw her passing between lectures. He liked her, a lot.
