The Before - Struggling to keep a job, broke secondary school drop out Wheatley finds the allure of a high paying, low experience necessary job in the middle of Nowheresville USA to be extremely tempting. Running out of options, he pushes back his reservations about the bizarre opportunity and makes the move to the states where he quickly learns with the help of an orange clad test subject that this job is not exactly what it seemed.
The After - After crashing back to Earth, Wheatley the core finds himself returned to the clutches of an old enemy who wants to exact her revenge in a peculiar way. Undergoing a core transfer to a new body, and jarring flashbacks of the past, Wheatley still wonders if he can earn the forgiveness of the test subject he betrayed.Portal 2 has a beautiful, well written ending that really makes you feel. With that said, while a redemption arc may not have fit into the cannon Portal universe, we (usually) don’t browse through fics on AO3 at three in the morning (I see you, night owls, go to bed) for poetic endings, we do it for sweet redemption tales that make you feel warm and fuzzy after abandoning that poor little British orb on the moon. I know you feel guilty too, you monsters.

After yet another atempt at her life and since his daughter is already marriageable Jacob White decides it would be best for her to return to Castelia city, a Yakuza capital to find her a suitable match. Touko is not at all pleased by this and decides to start taking things into her own hands.
Across the city, N Harmonia is trying his best to please his father by being a good heir to the Harmony Yakuza, the man has been trying to seize power from The White Dragon for as long as N can remember and the arrival of Jacobs only daughter might just be the piece his father needed. The easy way might be to offer his son as a potential husband, but Ghetsis prefers chaos over order.

The sun was as the wedding bells rang shining. The air was pleasant and the sky was clear with the promise of a new start ahead. The breeze was filled with the scent of the flowers used to decorate the beautiful altar and the wedding guests had all accumulated and were seated already.
The bride was a vision as she glided down the aisle and Gar felt tears well up in his eyes to match his face splitting smile. She was beautiful. Her exuberant joy was matched by the guests as they gazed in awe of her in her beautiful white dress that would have looked obnoxious on anyone else but looked elegant on her. Her red hair was pinned up with jewels and her green eyes shone with glee as she clutched the bouquet, her eyes firmly on her target at the end of her pathway as the wedding bells rang.
This had been a long time coming and now the day was finally here.
