Summary
Twenty years after King Adam and Queen Belle sent the villains of their world to a desolate, dilapidated island off the shores of bright, shining Auradon, Prince Ben decides on his first Royal Proclamation. He decides to invite four children from the Isle of the Lost to Auradon Preparatory Academy. He chooses Jay, son of the sorcerer Jafar, Carlos, son of Cruella de Ville, Evelyn, daughter of Queen Grimhilde, and... Malevera, daughter of Maleficent.
The VKs, as they are called, travel to Auradon under orders to steal the wand of the Fairy Godmother. But with comfort, luxury, and perhaps even love, Mal has to choose between following orders and following her heart.
AKA, the author grew up with Descendants and wanted to rewrite the series and solve some plot holes along the way, and make these characters seem like real people.
