“Are you smelling me?”
“You smell nice,” Chan says, taking another exaggerated sniff. Felix can’t really imagine how he’d smell nice, after a day out dancing followed by a restaurant visit. Felix pulls his sleeve to his face to see what Chan is talking about. He gets a nose full of smokey, meaty, fried cotton, under it lingers the scent of Chan’s detergent. “I smell like barbecue.”
“Yeah, like I said,” He buries his nose in Felix’s shoulder. “Nice.”

He has to endure it; if not, debt collectors - out to collect his father's debt - will show up at his door demanding money.
Every month is a struggle; he barely manages to pay his rent, study debt, and the debt left by his deadbeat father. For Felix, a proper meal consists of bread from his favorite corner shop with some off-brand chocolate spread. It does help that Fresh Cove, the gentrified hell-hole of a grocery store, offers free samples almost every single day!
Everything gets a lot worse when Felix is forced to find a new job and realizes that the obnoxious rich bastard from Fresh Cove is his new boss.
Who the fuck decided that Bang Chan, the most annoying person in the entire world, was to be his boss? Had it not been for the great salary provided by Racha, then Felix would have gladly drowned Chan in a bucket of boiling hot coffee - though that would ruin his perfectly curled hair and beautiful smile. Fuck that shit. Felix was furious.

The warning was there, they had time to make it out. When the power went out without a moment’s notice followed by the water disappearing shortly after, Seonghwa knew that his screaming instincts weren’t to be ignored like his roommate told him.
