Summary
When he was fourteen, Tōru Oikawa had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It had started with some pain in his neck that Tōru kept dismissing as aching muscles from the hours of volleyball practice, but then that pain turned into swelling which turned into a worrisome lump. His volleyball career ended before it could truly begin. Now seventeen, Tōru’s thyroid cancer has metastasized on his lungs, which has caused him to carry around an oxygen tank on his back and a port in his chest. Monday morning begins like it always does--with a checkup at his Oncologist--but there is one thing out of place, or rather, someone in his unofficial-official seat in the waiting room. This is where Tōru meets Hajime Iwaizumi: volleyball prodigy, a reminder of his broken dreams and the biggest pain in his ass.

Sakusa turns on his heel, grabs his stuff and walks right out the door.
