It wouldn’t be the first time some juvenile fucker riding high on their own importance because FEDRA gives teenagers guns and calls it a day tried to pull a prank. He can only imagine what it is this time. A fucking raccoon? Bag of snakes?
He slings it down, irritated, and freezes when he hears an “Ow!”
An “Ow!” said in a very, very young voice.
“No,” he says at once, voice hard, like just saying it can make it not true. “Fucking-no.”
This isn’t happening, he thinks, as Tess stops to walk back to him. There’s no goddamn way there’s a fucking kid in-

And out emerges a tiny head with huge brown eyes and her hair in a little ponytail messy enough that he just knows she did it herself.

Based on one of the earlier concepts for Thunderbolts*, instead of them being incinerated by Valentina, they are just trapped and need to find a way out!
John Walker would've never imagined that being trapped in a concrete hell would be the thing to make his mental health somewhat stabilize, but, here we are. But, that doesn't mean he isn't stressed. He still needs to find a way out before they run out of food, water, and maybe even oxygen.

This is a story about acceptance.
After Valentina announced that they are the "new avengers" to the world, they are sent to live in the tower together.
Nothing makes sense.
This group that makes no sense on paper, comes together, all having their own reasons. They aren't cut out to be superheroes, and their motivation is certainly not superhero-like.
But they decide to stay together nonetheless after Yelena's powerful speech about breaking Valentina from the inside.
For this to work, they have to actually work as a team. Completing task assigned by Valentina, while trying to find her weak spots and using it to their advantages.And then, there's Bob.
There are a lot they don't know about Bob, and there's a lot about Bob that Bob doesn't know himself. Valentina is definitely hiding something, and the team must seek the truth.Bookmarked by Crows247

In their defense, the mission had been going perfectly well up until this point. Which, by the way, is a hard-won statement: never in their stupid career could they say a mission was ever actually going smoothly, but if you ask John, the other Avengers were bullshitting every time they pretended a normal op would go off without a hitch. He might be wrong, sure. But it’s not exactly like you can ask them, so in his head, he’s right.

It takes place before, during, and after Infinity War and Endgame, with those events being slightly altered as well, in keeping the alternate universe, branched timeline, alternate reality, or whatever you choose to call it, concept.
