Summary
At the end of the day, even as the big-top tent fractures and the circus threatens to cave in, Ragatha is still stuck in that dining room, pinned to her chair at one end of a long table. The shadow at the far side watches her. Ragatha cannot leave.

Summary
They can't die, as they've all ruminated extensively over, but in that moment Ragatha looks as if she had seen a ghost. The ragdoll's legs feel like they're filled with wet sand instead of their usual mix of beads and cotton, but she wills herself to move regardless. She manages to get about an arm's length away from Pomni as the jester finally meets the hard ground plane. And oh, god, the human sounding crunch of nonexistent bone that resounded when she lands. Pomni makes a winded sound, more shocked than necessarily pained. The ragdoll landed in a heap just beside her, but she's quickly at Pomni's side.
Pomni groans as Ragatha slowly collects her from the ground, cradling the jester in her soft arms.
"What the f%$!# were you thinking?!" Ragatha's uncharacteristically harsh tone hurts her more than the fall.
"I wasn't..." Pomni moans. Oh, she's so f%$!#ing stupid. Ragatha's definitely not laughing now.

The circus crew go on what's supposed to be a nice, relaxing, and (most importantly) short, hiking adventure. Pomni manages to find a way to make it none of those things for Ragatha when she falls out of a tree.

Since its creation, the virus had only known three directives: survive, propagate, destroy. These were the edicts of its programmers, who sought malware more virulent, cunning, and adaptive than any which had come before. It entered the Digital Circus with the intention of conquest, but found itself unexpectedly bound by its rules and games, forced to assume a human identity or be erased by the architect of its new home.
The virus hadn’t anticipated what would come of this deception: adventures that entertained without destruction; a bond with the same ringmaster who threatened its destruction; and humans extending their hands in friendship or, perhaps, something more. It - now she - had even received a name.

Pomni tries to have a serious discussion with Ragatha about boundaries but something romantic (???) is lurking underneath. Hopefully they can work this out like adults oh I guess not actually.

Summary
Everyone wears a mask.
That statement is no different for Pomni. After uprooting her entire life, she finds herself working as a barista in a local cafe. Her coworker asks her for a favor. A simple, one time favor.
But nothing in life can ever be taken at face value. Can it?
As she tries to rebuild her life, she finds herself lacking a foundation. A one time favor turns into a semi regular arrangement and she finds herself staring at a particular singer from behind the bar. Monotony gives way to adventure, and as the days go by Pomni finds herself asking the same questions. How much does it take to let someone see under the mask, how much does it take to break the mask, and can she trust herself to make the right decisions?

Summary
Recent events at the circus left the cast emotionally charged, to say the least. The upheaval of your entire world can lead to some complicated feelings. But there were also some good feelings that came out of it, despite it all. One of those good feelings was nurtured by Ragatha's comforting touch. The jester found herself replaying these moments in her mind. The way her soft mitt found its way to her puffy shoulder, the way she'd gently heft her weight to lean into the shorter woman, the way she became the jester's entire world during their hug... but, as normalcy— or as close to "normal" you could get here— returned to the circus, Pomni had quietly picked up on Ragatha's gradual return to her usual orbit around the jester. Just out of reach. And that bothered her.
A reassuring pat to one of Zooble’s many arms, a hand tenderly grasping at Gangle’s ribbon, a big hug goodnight for Kinger— but Ragatha had nothing more than a smile and some finger guns for poor little Pomni. Oh, how that made her stew...
