He doesn't know. He's certain he doesn't want to. He gives the slightest nod anyway, trying to unfurl his fingers to take the mug. Jayce just leans forward, blowing across the tea to cool it before pressing the rim of the teacup to Viktor’s lips. Jayce tilts it with a carefulness that's almost absurd. Viktor is terribly grateful.

Goes somewhere he doesn’t like to go, shadowy corners in the deep recesses of his mind, the place where “knowledge of guns” sits next to “how to rip out a heart through the chest cavity.” He’s armed but doesn’t remember picking up a weapon; seven-eight-ten-twelve thugs rush him and there’s two for every one he topples, but Eliot doesn’t feel pain, he just feels impact.

I began writing Reprise in November 2015, after having a hankering for a good time travel AU and then being unable to find one that fit my niche craving. I wrote chapters 1 through 3 as a casual experiment, a kind of character study of Ben Kenobi.
