Summary
In the late summer of 1930, Alastor meets Lucifer Morningstar. Somehow, that ends up being the least of his problems.
The bodies are piling up in New Orleans and none of them belong to him.
With the devil on his shoulder and the police at his back, Alastor begins a race to find out who is ruining his reputation. With a little luck, he might even do it before one of them gets caught.

Summary
Tucked away on a cliffside sat the village of Aerion — a small and remote town that had been abandoned by the Gods ages ago. There were only two means to leave this place: a plummet to the withering ocean and the entrance to a forest that no human returned from. A forest that was stalked by a beast they sacrificed humans in order to appease.

But the man hasn’t come topside for his soul and wants his heart instead?! Alastor’s answer is of course no. Ha! As if “no” ever stopped the devil…
Or the one where human!Alastor meets the literal devil after a summoning gone wrong, refuses to believe it, and accidentally ends up playing house with Lucifer for the next six years of his highly unconventional life until his own inevitable demise in 1933.

“I’m afraid whatever deviousness you have planned won’t work. You and I both know we have quite a busy day.” Alastor sighed — put upon as if he wasn’t the one denying them both pleasure — and straightened up to adjust the lapels of his overcoat. Any innocence Lucifer was trying to convey dropped as he offered his love a truly lecherous smirk.
“Oh, I can assure you, Alastor,” Lucifer purred, tilting his head back to skim the tips of his claws down his exposed throat. “You’ll be dragging me into the nearest janitor closet to pound me into oblivion by lunch.”
Alastor’s own smile stretched at the challenge. “We’ll see about that, darling.”

Summary
The first year the Hunt was held, everyone assumed it was some sort of jest or formality. Get the key from around the Omega’s neck and you earned the right to remove the collar protecting his scent glands and to claim him.
They’d shown up drunk and in their formal party clothes to find Alastor, the Omega in question, dressed like he was going to war. Some of them never fully recovered.
And so it went, year after year. The pretty, willowy Omega putting Alpha after Alpha in their place. Alastor and his realm were prizes that would elevate even the poorest of kingdoms to dizzying heights. His continued untouchability only fed the flames of desire for both, and the competition became ever steeper.

There seems to be only one problem. Something else lives in the bayou. Something intelligent with a voice that tickles across Lucifer's senses until he can't think straight. A beast with a touch as teasing and grounding as lapping shores.

Lucifer is a god of the rivers, bayous, and waterways of Alastor's childhood. He's the fear mortals feel when they look at dark water and don't know what lives below. He's the last gasp of a drowning victim. He's the life and death of every creature to ever know birth or death in the silt of the riverways. Alastor's been his disciple since he was young, one bound to the land and one to the waters.
AKA: Mermay, but make it Southern Gothic and throw in a religious cult for good measure.
