Summary
The sound doesn’t echo because the trees are so close here, but it still feels like a beacon to lead their enemies after them—as much a proclamation of their current location as the trail of footprints he’s leaving behind, or the drops of blood staining the pristine white blanket covering the ground.
Those, at least, have trailed off. Loki doesn’t want to think about what that might mean. He’s still alive, thank the Norns—the labored breathing in Loki’s ear, almost loud enough to drown out the sound of his footsteps, is proof enough of that. Proof enough that Loki hasn’t failed. Yet.
(When a mission gone wrong strands them on a hostile planet, Loki pushes himself to his limits in order to save Mobius' life.)

Summary

“Not everyone,” Mobius replied lightly, though not without a hint of slyness, “Just you.” He reached over and slowly covered Loki’s hand with his own, fingers gliding soft and gentle in a way that he gods-damned knew would make him agree to anything.
On the very last day of Loki's "recuperation vacation", Mobius finally convinces him to discover the merits of riding a personal watercraft. Fluff, romantic feels and a tiny stirring of lust ensue.

“Mobius…” Loki began, his voice roughened with feeling, although he wasn’t sure what he wanted to say. He shook his head helplessly, reaching out to grasp Mobius’ other hand, too.
“Guess it looks like I did my best to make good on that promise, even if I had no idea I’d made it,” Mobius murmured in a shaky voice, his mouth curving in a smile even as a single tear spilled over.
When Loki and Mobius awake together after sharing their first kiss, their conversation leads to an important task for Loki to complete, and as a result, an immense appreciation of his favourite human.

He was free.
A deathy ill Loki is finally retrieved from the Multiversal Tree, and although it's not the reunion Mobius would have preferred, 'grateful' doesn't even begin to cover his feelings.

He leaned forward to rest his head on Mobius’ shoulder, taking slow breaths until the awful sensation passed. Mobius pulled him close and ran a gentle hand over his back.
“Did someone have a bit too much to drink?” he teased lightly. “Which, I might add, I did kinda warn you about.”
An impromptu date night ends less than ideally when Loki discovers he’s not as ‘recovered’ as he thought he was.
