Tilting over, deep in sleep mode, Bumblebee's frame began to topple to the ground. When given the option to fight and survive or fight and lose, the minibot forfeited altogether—kneeling down to die.
Or; Bumblebee disappeared years before the war concluded, never to be found. And low on options to send out in search of Grimlock, Optimus requests Megatron to infiltrate the illegal Cybertronian fighting ring located in Philly. This is the aftermath.

Their current truce lasted only for as long as the rains did. Earlier that cycle they had fought gruesomely over an expired, rotting cube of energon and now they snuggled close to last the night. Scrap happened, they tussled, they fragged, end of.
With Cybertron a literal decomposing husk, mechs took whatever form of relief that they could and moved on with their life. Didn't matter what symbol they bore or what city-state they fought for.

He pulled away from the bound Autobot and walked over to the overtaken computer terminal he had commandeered once joining his lord aboard Omega Supreme. The programming running on it happily confirmed that the branding iron was not only ready for application, but the virus he had installed was primed and waiting for infection.
Or; in trying to plant the transmitter on the moon, Bumblebee gets caught by Shockwave.

Back when Sari was smaller, she had climbed and sat on Bee's chassis enough to get an up close and personal look at the screens that served as his eyes. It was kinda cool and gross to look directly at the bright LED but what stood out most of all was the small dead pixel in his lower right eye. Sari could barely see it when standing next to him and looking up at his face, but when hugging his face she always noticed its presence.
Or; Bumblebee sells out Optimus during Megatron's trial and is rewarded with Elite Guard status, but in return loses his friendship with the others.

When Bumblebee didn't react, lips pressing even tighter together as he stared off into a daze, Breakdown forced a smile upon his face. "C'mon Bee, you gotta fuel up."
Or; against his better judgement, Bumblebee circled back around to try and save Breakdown from capture at the hands of GHOST. Months later, Breakdown now has to try and save Bumblebee from the imprints left on him from their time spent incarcerated.

Prowl could have missed all the signs pointing to the possession were he not attuned to the ebbing flow of a spark's nature. Bumblebee's spark tasted like a playful shock, airy and floating without a care. This thing reeked of acid, suffocating and pushing the spark so far down that it honestly should have snuffed itself out.
Or; in a desperate bid to save the future, Bumble Prime manages to go back in time with the sole goal of killing Blackarachnia before she can even begin to experiment with creating Predacons. Unfortunately, this one-way trip requires a stable frame... and Bumblebee's the only one that would be spark compatible with his own.

"It's hard to walk I guess," he said eventually. "Like… If I'm not careful they'll pop right off."
Or; after Wasp and Ironhide removed his lower legs during their time at boot camp, Bumblebee goes to Ratchet for help with his residual pain from the event.

He had heard rumors about abandoned mining shafts and waste systems from the olden-days of Cybertron. Hidden and discarded much like he was, they hadn't been used in centuries. A lingering wound prior to prosperity, Bumblebee recalled the Magnus commenting in educational videos. With no bot daring to come all the way down here, they proved an excellent cage for Shockwave to ensnare him in.
Or; Fearing discovery and wanting to seclude Bumblebee from all others, Shockwave kidnaps him. Trapping him down in the deepest depths of Cybertron, Bumblebee struggles to secure his freedom.

Summary
While the Prime knew what he got out of revisiting the Great War as obsessively as he did, he privately wondered why Bumblebee also had a fascination for the propaganda films. From what Bulkhead had recounted about the mini from their brief time in bootcamp prior to the attack, Bee didn't have a strong appetite for studying. And certainly he didn't care to research their past victory against the Decepticons to ensure he learned from their mistakes, thus bettering his training.
Prowl suggested he probably stood beside Optimus, waiting to see if he could find a familiar face amongst the grainy film.
Or; after Bumblebee successfully catches Shockwave in the act of contacting Megatron that day, the Decepticon ensures that the bumbler won't be able to tell anyone what he saw.
