Summary
Halsin had stepped valiantly into a portal that blinked out of existence when their party was overwhelmed in combat. They hadn’t been close all those years ago, but Halsin had been the first to die, and Astarion would be the last as he was always destined to be. There was something meaningful in that.
Immortality leaves one with rather a lot of years to keep track of. 150 years since saving the realm. 146 years since marrying Wyll. 79 years since becoming a widow. 13 years since the last of his former companions passed on without him.
Of all the things Astarion has suffered in his long life, the one blow he's no longer capable of weathering is suffering all on his own. When he finds his way to the Shadow-Cursed lands in search of place to waste away in peace, the last thing he expects to find is a kindred spirit in similar need of healing.

"Okay, you got me there. I'll see you tonight." Husk gives him a smile. "Try not to get too tied up with work."
"Ha ha, funny guy. See ya later."
Anthony and Husk know each other better than anyone else. They've stood by each other through thick and thin, including what should have torn them apart. As someone new enters the picture, they have to decide if this is finally the thing that breaks them. Or maybe, she brings them together instead.

The sole survivor of Vault 111 is Bric, who awakens in a wasteland after 200 years. She finds her fellow vault dwellers and former neighbors Nate and Nora dead in their pods - and their infant child missing. Bric sets out to find answers, and maybe a few friends along the way - but at what cost?
This is a slow burn, novel-length, relationship story. It's got a few scenes influenced by tumblr - I don't have an account but I love reading all of the Hancock tags. The focus is on SS/Hancock and Valentine, though MacCready, Cait, and Preston are all supporting. Mostly canon, though some liberties with order and details have been/will be taken. In the second half of the arc, Danse and Maxson make their appearance, along with Deacon and Glory.
Though this is done, I love comments! They keep my inspirations going.

Summary
Stede’s been picking up on it for a while, Ed’s hesitance to share when he’s upset, or worried, or feeling hurt. They’ve managed to talk a few things out by now, namely that they’d give pirating a break, that they wanted to do it together.
That had been huge, actually. Still – he can’t help but feel that Ed’s walking on eggshells, as though the wrong words might spook Stede into fleeing.
Deep down Stede knows he won’t, neither of them will, but yeah – he knows the feeling. They’ve still got a lot of talking to do.
Just needs a little elbow grease.
“I love you,” he whispers, sliding even closer, lightly carding his fingers through Ed’s hair.
The forced smile relaxes into a real one, warm and pleased. “Love you.”

Ed and Stede have some work to do on the inn…among other things. They’re up for the challenge.

The second Vanth’s hand meets Din’s beskar, wind erupts around them. An orb of light shines from Din’s chest. Vanth stares into it, transfixed, as if nothing else exists. As Din gazes up at him, Vanth’s features go slack, like he’s in a trance. Tentatively, Vanth pushes his hand into the light spilling out from Din — and when it comes back out, it’s followed by the darksaber. When he lifts that hand up in the air, the darksaber stands in a straight line above them, fully ignited.
The last thing Din hears before the world goes black is Vanth’s panicked, “Oh, what the fuck?”

The stranger’s lips break apart in more than one place when he produces another little grin, a sarcastic twitch, but somehow Cobb knows that the smile is not for him: it’s meant for the stranger himself. “Maybe it can’t,” the guy says after a beat. “Maybe it would be better that way.”
