this is an art nerd fic. I don't even read harry potter stuff but I absolutely have to spend time on an art history / conservation / appreciation story. I'm glad I did, this was so well written it makes you really appreciate that everyone is the "main character" of their own lives - even people like Filch.

This fanfic is a continuation of the classic FFVII sequel fic, Sink to the Bottom With You, written by Catalina between 2000 and 2007. The original story abruptly cut off at its 40th chapter, and will seemingly never be finished, so I wanted to try my hand at giving it an ending. It's based on concepts Catalina wrote about in an old email where she went over how it was going to end, as well as my own ideas about things. In this story, AVALANCHE must once again save the world from a new threat, a mysterious faction that worships an ancient subterranean god that will someday consume the Planet. Yuffie must uncover the truth of her bloodline and Vincent must accept the darker part of himself if they are to save the Planet.

You know, I hated the canon romances of Fenris (and Anders for that matter) with Hawke. I spent all my time wanting to smack whoever in particular wrote Fenris' emo-pants bottle-smashing dialogue. I literally screamed "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO A GOOD BOTTLE OF WINE" at my television screen at one point. This story does a lot to remedy my feelings of rage. Excellent plot. Excellent hook ending (will be first in line for a sequel please). Excellent Merrill. Must read if you like the Dragon Age universe.
