But Striker moved with an almost clinical precision. His knife trailed upwards from the owl's thigh, flicking aside the edges of his coat. The serrated edge sliced against the bulky knit of his sweater, thick enough to hide the swell of his body. As the tattered edges fell apart, though, there was no concealing the egg. There was just Striker and his hypnotic eyes, the tip of his knife pushing feathers aside to expose the less dense patches where skin peeked through, where his feather growth had not been able to keep up.
Then Striker breathed out a laugh.
"I fuckin' knew it," he rasped. "You babytrapped that clown."

As much as everyone seems to assume Angel Dust gets all his best-worst ideas on, well, angel dust, this one can't be blamed on anything but sheer sleep deprivation. But really, it's basically all Alastor's fault for going along with his bullshit in the first place.

It had been supposed to be over. Finally over. The galaxy would never know how fragile their victory had been. And with Project Janus taken down, nobody would ever get another chance to interfere with history. Not even themselves. Not even after realizing that they’d gotten it all wrong.
This is part 3, the final part of this story. If you’re interested in reading it, I’d recommend giving part 1 a try first, story makes a lot more sense that way – but then, who am I to tell you what to do. Other than that, the usual applies: Kaidan's perspective, no sex scenes, set all over the place (and time), kissing canon goodbye, but now we're finally fixing it for good. After first breaking it a little more, of course.

The Alliance already has a new job for Shepard, which sounds rather boring at first, but Kaidan is determined to stay by his side nonetheless. But first, Shepard finally gets to meet Kaidan's mom.
Set after ME3, a sequel to "I'm Awake Now", so if you haven't read that, many things won't make sense to you. As per last time: exclusively Kaidan's perspective, no sex scenes.
And again it's possible to stop reading after this part and still get a proper ending if you don't feel like reading the third, even longer (really, it's very long) part.
