“Mumbo Kill'a Lot Jumbo.” Zedaph starts and Mumbo freezes hearing his full name. “29 years old, former electrician at Sahara, used to share an apartment with a close friend, Grian Dream Slayer the Second, and both of you were officially registered as mutated three years after The Day.”
“You are a D class, with a minor colour mutation in your eyes.” The purple eyed man watches fascinated with how quick Mumbo's eyes change one colour to another, almost like a gamer setup.
“Because of your level of expertise, you changed Bases a lot, almost eight in the span of five years.” He taps his fingers against the wall, Mumbo squirms nervously in his chair.
"what makes you so special Mr. Kill'a Lot, is that your radiation levels compared with the three of us that have been living in this former Redstone mine for at least three years now, is way WAY higher, almost like you have been actively using it.”
“Why- why do you need it?” Mumbo tentatively asks.
“I am getting us out.” Zedaph says almost breathless, knocking a fist against his metal collar. “I received a message. Morse code in one of ours scanners, they call themselves Hermits."

Hermitcraft is supposed to be a safe haven, a place for people who were outcasted from the world to live their life freely, no matter who or what they were. It was a place for those to take shelter, a place for them to be themselves, a place that was supposed to be a sanctuary.
It just so happens that most of its residents are running from humans

Doc was pretty used to people just showing up in his perimeter at this point. Apparently, if you dig a giant hole, all the Hermits are going to be drawn to it. Maybe it was something to do with their name, the word ‘hermit’ did kind of imply that they lived underground. Or maybe they just liked bedrock, that could also be the case. Whatever it was, though, Doc had gotten pretty used to coming across unexpected visitors. However, he hadn’t expected he’d ever be faced with this.
Grian was curled up a shadowy corner of one of his farms, shaking. Grian, who had been missing for over a month and a half now. Doc crept toward him slowly, afraid of scaring him off. Grian obviously didn’t notice him approach, his head on his knees and his hands clamped over his ears. Doc sat down a few feet away from him, being careful not to make him feel trapped. He’d made that mistake already, and he wasn’t willing to do it again.
Note- This is set in HC season 9 but the only context you need is that Doc built a giant hole called the perimeter and put crazy stuff in it.

Summary
When Xisuma learned that what he had previously believed to be a virus was actually a player with a disastrous code, he was horrified.
When Xisuma discovered, thanks to Doc, that they were Grian, he felt his blood burning inside him.
When Xisuma told Mumbo about it, he knew he must do everything possible to help Grian recover. Rebuilding that disorder was not easy, not when Grian's existence was at stake, but he was willing to do everything possible to make it happen.
When the Hermits, thanks to a meeting, found out about everything that had happened, they knew they must do everything possible to help.
or, messing with a player's code is never a good option. Xisuma knows that, most admins know that. It seems like the Watchers don't seem to mind it at all.
