That immediately prompted a simultaneous ‘heh?!’ and ‘what?!’ from the other two.
“You're comparing me to him?!” Techno asked Phil incredulously, looking between him and Tommy a few times, as if the comparison had personally offended him. Which, rude, by the way.
“Please,” Tommy scoffed defensively. “It’s a fuckin’ honor to be compared to me, Tech-no-blade. I'm the coolest, biggest man in this server. Second only to the Philza Minecraft.”
“Certainly not the most humble,” Techno commented, folding his arms. Phil just smiled fondly at the interaction.
“Oh, this is humble,” Tommy said back, feigning cockiness. “If I was actually being honest, I'd have to go on and on because–”
Techno groaned, interrupting Tommy’s rant before it even began and rubbing his temples. “Why did we pick you..?”

Maestro is a top hero in L’Manberg. He’s well respected and a force to be reckoned with, especially with the rest of his team next to him. “Courteous”, “charismatic”, and “charming” are just a few of the words reporters have used to describe the hero.
Wilbur, well, he was just the asshole who played him.
Don’t get him wrong, Wilbur likes the gig he’s got. But he knows he can do more good for the world, by joining politics and writing legislation, rather then adorning flashy suits and punching criminals. But he can’t just retire from hero work and leave his team down a man and without the only person capable of fighting Dream’s powers of manipulation.
Luckily, the phrase “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain,” might be just the solution he needs.

Calling himself the Crowfather had been a joke. Honestly. No matter what Sneeg might swear behind Phil’s back, the only ‘children’ he’d had in mind when he’d picked his villain name had been crows, and still only in a metaphorical sense.The point where the problem came in, was when he started collecting actual kids. Like a damn magnet, actually. He didn’t mean to, but they just kept showing up, with puppy eyes and head injuries, and saying ‘oh, Crowfather, could you teach me to throw knives’, and ‘oh, Crowfather, tell me how to control my powers’, and ‘Crowfather, how does it feel to fly?’
Anyways, he never went into a situation intending to keep the little shits. Really, he didn't.

That is why he is quite surprised to find himself still alive 6 month after the virus outbreak. He even has his life in check: he has a protected house, a lot of resources that he is willing to sell to others and, most importantly, he has peace.
Until one day a guy named Wilbur crosses his threshold. After that, Phil just can't catch a break.

Tommy thought hard to come up with a name. He studied the dragon's mannerisms as he prowled around the grassy area by the lake, trying to think of what he reminded Tommy of. The way the dragon was gentle yet violent when needed, a bit goofy at times, and a very good companion.
Tommy was reminded of his brother who he'd lost years ago, William Gold. What was that nickname he always called him? Oh, yes, it was -
"Wilbur," he said softly. The dragon turned and looked him in the eye, then gave a small nod, almost as if he were confirming the name.
If Tommy believed in reincarnation, then this was the closest to his brother he would ever be.
