Summary
Sokka is officially an Ambassador for the Water Tribes, and unofficially just a guy who comes to Caldera to shoot the shit with his friend for a few months every year. Zuko has been hard at work basically rebuilding the world since the war ended, and Sokka likes to help out when he can. Plus, he gets to be around Zuko, which is a huge plus in his book.
To everyone in the palace, he’s just Sokka, the Ambassador.
To Zuko, he’s a good friend.
Tonight, Sokka’s finally going to change that.
And if tonight ends with him railing the Firelord against his own desk, well...nobody needs to know.

"Sonic never visits anymore.
Well, that wasn’t true. Tails’s home was virtually his home, but lately, whenever he did stay the night, he remained in his room the entire time. He hasn’t said a word to Tails since he came back after his time on the Death Egg."

"Sonic snorts. 'Dude, you look so fuckin’ stupid right now.'
Tails sticks his tongue out at him. Sonic cackles, backing away unscrupulously. He pivots away, feigning to be on his way back to the frostbitten grass.
'I’m gonna leave without youu!' he sing-songs playfully.
There’s a crack.
Sonic swings back around at the speed of light--just in time to hear Tails yelp as the ice swallows him whole."

Summary
Prompt: gentle sex
Tears were rare from him, so often swallowed and smothered and stuffed deep down into his chest. But love had been this rare and fleeting thing, cast upon friends and part-time lovers, pleaded in prayers wished upon the moon; and now, love had wrapped its arms around him, had peppered his face with kisses, had offered itself wholly, fully, unconditionally.
Zuko loved him. He might have had some inkling or suspicion before, some doubt wriggling in the back of his mind; but now, he could take it as fact, could take him at his word, could take it as the one and only truth. Peace and politic aside, Sokka loved him, and he was loved in turn.

Summary
Sokka regularly has great ideas, and he knows that intentionally falling behind on Fire Prince Zuko's ship to "throw him off Aang's trail" is not one of them.
He goes with it anyway, and finds himself to not be the trickster he thought he was. Instead, he’s immersed deeper into the daily routines aboard the vessel. While the pursuit of Aang and Katara continues, Sokka struggles to maintain his grip on his metaphorical shield and sword against the Fire Nation soldiers around him, as each day finds him more included.
Worst, is the Fire Prince himself, who easily bested him in his village, and who makes it clear immediately that he will hunt down the Avatar whether Sokka is aboard or not.
But the longer Zuko hosts him, the more Sokka stumbles, and stumbles against *him*, and the more he finds his closest convictions challenged.
