Three years ago this week, ITV aired Episode 8 and the rest is history! There is no other believable ending but #SidlotteForever, anything else is just not honouring Jane Austen.
So, we continue to write for Our Couple and for all their devoted fans. This Challenge started as an idea to use dialogue by either Sidney or Charlotte and reinvent it, in any setting, in any format. I have chosen to try and connect these Scenes together, in a Modern Scenario, where things may happen differently, but you can be sure it WILL end happily for them. And Here’s a Heads Up – there will be NO PAST LOVES or FIRES to interfere needlessly with that.

Summary
Sidney is the heir to the throne. Charlotte is the daughter of King Denham's trusted friend and head chef, Henry Heywood. Sidney and Charlotte play together as children and go on many adventures through the place they call home. One fateful night turns their world upside down as children. As they grow into adulthood, they are closer than ever, and feelings start to change. Yet, different social positions stand in their way.
Sidney is a Denham in this story. King Parker didn't seem to have the right ring to it. Edward is his cousin and not a very nice child.

Summary
Charlotte goes through with the wedding to Edward, but realizes she had made a HUGE mistake. Allison reminds her that she isn't really married until it's consummated. Charlotte is shocked with her wedding present, and leaves the house in her chemise and goes to the beach with two bottles of Dom Perignon where she creates a very lifelike sand sculpture, then gets arrested for encroaching on turtle territory. Things will get interesting in night court.

Charlotte held out her hand. “Charlotte Heywood. Your new assistant. Personal Assistant.” ’Personal’. You sound like an idiot. Stop talking.
He ignored her out-stretched hand. “I don’t have an assistant. Personal or not. Nor, do I need one.” His eyes flashed with annoyance.
The arrogant prick! Charlotte’s temper flared. “That is not what HR thinks, so I suggest you take it up with them, Mr. Parker,” she hissed, fighting like hell to control her temper.

As Christmas approaches, Tom's brother Sidney comes for a visit. An accident causes Sidney and Charlotte to take on the roles of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus in the Christmas Village.
This is a SIDLOTTE story. No other story will ever do. Just a silly little short story for the Christmas season. Sort of a Hallmark Christmas movie with explicit scenes.

A fun alternative continuation of the show we all love.What if there were scenes from the show we didn't get to see? What if all those deleted scenes were actually included? What if Charlotte was more heartbroken than we all thought and for other reasons more hurtful than just Sidney choosing to marry Eliza?
This story will start out at the fire of episode 8 and follow along through the ending with more scenes we didn't get to see and into an alternative season 2. Sidney and Charlotte will end up together, but there's a lot of forces keeping them apart.
This is a co-created story between me and Diana Smith-Keddie. She posted in the Sanditon Survival Book Club FB group about having an idea for a continuation and wanted to know if someone was up to the challenge of writing it. We all know I'm a sucker for a challenge. So, here we are. We had a nice long chat on the phone and created this story. She came up with most of the concepts and I just brought them to life on the page.
Although I don't see this being a true continuation of a second season since most of this was not in the actual show, it's still fun to see where we can all take this story and change it up.
