Yusuf slid his tongue into Nicolò’s mouth, swallowing his moan, before moving one hand to reach for Nicolò’s tunic. He wanted to feel the other man’s warm skin against his own without anything blocking it.
Nicolò suddenly froze in his arms, gasping. This time, however, it was not a sound of pleasure, but one of panic. “Stop!” Nicolò yelped. Yusuf stumbled back a step when Nicolò pushed him away, hands shaking.

“It’s part of you,” Ed says, framed by the bright sky above. It’s so warm, all this light; Stede tries to focus, to ground himself in it, attempting to release the dark forest in his memory. “It’s not nothing.”
There’s nobody else here. Everyone else has given them space, a bubble to exist in together up on deck while Stede comes back to himself, and he’s grateful for it. He’s even more grateful that he doesn’t have an audience when he asks Ed, knowing he’ll tell him anything he asks for, “What do you want to know?”
And Ed, of course, answers, “Everything.”

Summary
“Captain, your throat,” Frenchie insists, taking Stede’s weight like he’s hurt. “You—”
“I’m fine, Frenchie, my goodness,” Stede tells him. He tries to disentangle them; in Frenchie’s confusion, he only tightens his grip, pulling Stede towards the door and away from Ed. “It’s just a little cut from shaving, I’m fine! I promise, we don’t need Roach or anyone, Ed was handling it just fine himself.”
This pulls Frenchie up short, and he stops in the doorway, fingers still tight in Stede’s flesh. Bewildered, he looks back, eyes finding the tiny— tiny— cut on Stede’s jaw before they snap up to Ed, brow furrowing.
“It’s barely anything,” Frenchie says, though— Stede’s expecting relief, and his tone only sounds accusatory, which is just strange.

Edward stands up straighter, thoughts of strategy and escape leaking right out of his head the moment his eyes land on the prisoner.
Stede stands out of the shadows, his blond locks, white, and slightly rumpled, shirt, and wide brown eyes in full display.
His wrists are encased in manacles–which, alright, in what universe does the Gentleman Pirate need manacles, while motherfucking Blackbeard is allowed full range of the cell?
"Ed!” Stede starts, hand half-extended toward Edward’s shadowy corner, as his eyes finally adjust to the dark.
“Fancy–um, fancy meeting you here. Ah…been here long? Ed? Are you hurt? Let me–”“Thought I told you you don’t get to call me that anymore” Edward grumbles back. He doesn’t think Stede should have forgotten so soon, considering it’s only been a month.
Or the one in which Stede & Ed find themselves sharing a cell, one month after Stede's less-than-stellar return to the Revenge.
Ed wasn't willing to forgive then & he isn't now.
Ed's certain he can escape and put this (second) Stede encounter behind him.

He did remember Dong-sik telling him that, very vividly so, but it was an offering he didn't like to make to make too much use of.
Was he not just hurting the other man with his presence? Was he not but a reminder of 20 years worth of hell? How could he so selfishly try to find solace within Dong-sik when he was sure to be nothing but poison to him?
OR: Joo-won shows up at Dong-sik's after a case gone wrong and yearns to forget.
