Summary
It started as a one-time thing at first - she had awoken from yet another nightmare, the image of her digital ghost attending her own real-world funeral and the blurry visages of her mourning parents burned into her brain. Her attempts to fall back asleep were futile - staying still in her bed with nothing more than her own mind as company was practically torture - so she opted to leave. Take a stroll around the grounds, sit by the lake to collect herself a bit, nothing big. And then she went back to sleep. Until it happened again, and again. And pretty soon this cycle of awakening and wandering and going back to sleep kept happening until it was basically a nightly occurrence. The downside is of course that she’s usually sleep deprived in the morning, needing to be shot awake either by an extra-strong cup of coffee or a cruel startle from Jax, but it would probably be worse if she didn’t leave her room. Out here, she can calm her thoughts, at least a bit.
