Jiang Cheng loses a bet with Wei Wuxian, and has to dress as a lady and has to go to Caiyi town with Wei Wuxian and Nie Huaisang. He bumps into Lan Xichen, who has come to investigate rumors of women going missing, with Lan Wangji of course, and chaos ensues!
Lan Xichen falls in love, Jiang Cheng tries not to give his identity away, Wei Wuxian is freaking out but bothering Lan Wangji in the background, and Nie Huaisang is just here for the ride!

Summary
Jiang Cheng wakes up to rough fingers gently running through his hair in a caressing he has got quite accustomed to in the past three or so years in his life. His eyes are heavy for all the hours he spent staying wide awake to check on his husband and the reminding of why they’re so heavy is exactly what makes his head snap up.
He has been waiting for Lan Huan to wake up for two whole days and being able to finally see those eyes staring at him again snaps something inside his chest too.
Or, Lan Xichen gets injured to save Jiang Cheng from getting so and Jiang Cheng finds out he hates the idea of losing him.

He thinks of Jin Ling, of Lan Huan. He thinks of the nights they share, of their routine since they moved in together and how warm it makes him feel.
Jiang Cheng thinks of how grateful he is for being able to mend his relationship with Zixuan after all the trouble they went through when he still was an asshole with Yanli.
He thinks of how better he is with handling his problems and how he is now able to talk with Wuxian, his childhood friend, without feeling like he should punch his smiling face.
Jiang Cheng breathes slowly.
And smiles.

As he lay down on his bed, he dreamt of life without all of these feelings he had struggled all his life. He wanted to get away from himself and from how draining his life was. But he knew he couldn’t do that if he kept surrounding himself with the people and places that reminded him of those feelings.
Here, in Lotus Pier, the memories of his inadequacy in so many ways suffocated him slowly and constantly throughout his life. All his life, he had been drowning. Eventually, he knew he would stop struggling to stay afloat and just let the water swallow him.

Summary
Fluffy, cute fics for our two favourite Daozhang because my heart hurt too much after watching the Yi City arc. Mostly fluff, some smut, and just a pinch of angst to drive plot, but always with a happy ending. Not technically an AU since it takes place in the CQL world but Songxiao focused and no one dies (except XY).
The fics start out as standalone but then they start interconnecting at around story #8 (A Meeting of New Friends). The series technically finishes at part 46 with the wedding although I do plan to keep writing short, fluffy post-marriage stories, but the main over-reaching arc with all the angst and drama ends at part 46.
