He knew Peter was an... anxious kid, to say the least. He knew he'd been through more than any kid deserved to at his age - or any age, really. He knew Peter wasn't used to being open about his powers, or his spider-manning, or just - life in general. But Tony had hoped that by now, after all they'd been through together, peter might feel a bit... safer, around him.
Alas, (really, Tony?) there wasn’t much he could do about that but stick around. Be supportive. Remind Peter he was there to talk whenever.
So, no big deals, no big worries.
Until, of course, the Big Deal happened.

She’s so surprised that she laughs, thinking it’s a joke.
Then she sees Joel’s smile, confident that he’s hitting a good point for teasing.
“Waylon’s-” She starts before she stops. Waylon’s gay, is what she was going to say, but that’s not her secret to tell. Waylon and Zack aren’t private about it when it’s just them and Dina and Jesse, and she knows their families know, but she hasn’t missed how they don’t usually get too touchy around other people.
For the first time, she consciously thinks about why that might be.

It was dark. Peter couldn’t see anything, nor move his limbs; this was feeling a lot more like a kidnapping than an arrest.
It was only when he heard the sloshing of water against metal that it fully hit him, and the accompanying fear sunk icy claws into his heart.
He was being taken to the Raft.

Tony Stark hoped that with the split of the Avengers and half of the team on the run, the Accords would fizzle out. Unfortunately, the opposite happened, and the committee decided to expand the Accords even more to encompass all enhanced vigilantes, no matter their level of involvement (read: Spider-Man).
One of the proposed laws would involve unmasking and regulating all such individuals, with one exception: a signing member of the Accords could elect to sponsor them, at the risk of their own reputation if things went sideways. So Tony signed for Spider-Man. The kid had solid morals. What could possibly go wrong?
Answer: Peter gets involved with alien tech, splits open a Staten Island ferry, crashes Tony’s plane into Coney Island, and gets thrown into a max security prison in the middle of the ocean. In that order.
Tony has to see Steve Rogers' face again much sooner than he anticipated.

Seizures… great, so that’s a thing now, and Tony has decided that the best thing is for Peter to stop being Spider Man. The more the seizures happen, the more protective Tony becomes. All Peter wants is to have his life back.

May asks Tony to take joint custody of Peter to help with the Spider Man thing and this new stress seizure issue. Peter learns that sometimes parents do what’s necessary even if it’s not a popular choice with their kids.

That was the day the bracelet first appeared. Morgan told them Peter was alive and that he had given it to her. Therapists told them that it was normal. She had watched her father almost die and now someone she loved really had. She was just coping in her own way, not unlike an imaginary friend. Pepper seemed to accept this, but he himself couldn’t handle it.

It’s just, you don’t have to say things out loud when fate- or some exploding evil nazi science equipment- decides you should hear each other's thoughts.
(I haven’t seen many fics about the moment ‘the kid’ turned into ‘my kid’ for Tony, so I wanted to write one from Peter’s pov)
