'Bruce was only watching to see how Clark’s sparring was coming along... He wasn’t watching Clark because he liked him or found him attractive. That would be foolish, and not sensible at all, and a distraction from the more important things in life, like beating up criminals every night and passing his exams.'
When Clark Kent gets into yet another fight on a night out, his friend Diana suggests he joins the university boxing club to get used to fighting back, without killing someone with his superpowers. Bruce Wayne has just transferred to Metropolis City University and isn’t all too happy about it. Unlike everyone else he knows, he misses Gotham. And now he has to balance university, being Batman, and his feelings for Clark Kent - which he definitely doesn’t have.
CONTENT WARNINGS: a little bit of swearing, implied abuse, implied & described mild violence, lots of discussion of dead parents.
This is an AU drawing on several different versions of characters and also my own interpretation of them. Bruce is Battinson, Clark is Corensupes & Smallville. The others are a mix of all media types and kind of just what I want them to be! -

After a while, the boy looked up at Grian, “Why are you guys- Why are you so fuckin’ nice? I’ve been here for like half an hour, and no one has gotten angry at me for being a dick, that Xisuma bitch saved my life, and helped me calm down after a freakout- What the fuck? I don’t understand!” He cried, and Grian just let him talk. It hurt to hear, and made him wonder who hurt this kid.
His avian instincts weren’t helping either, it was not the time to be trying to take in an abandoned fledgling. It also did not help that between the ugly sobs the kid was making, he could hear the repressed chirps that struggled to pass through whatever barrier this kid had put up to stop any bird-like sounds.~

Summary
The crows continue to surround him. Maybe they know he isn't a real crow, sense the impostor. Tommy would have laughed if it wasn't for the hundred fucking crows watching him like a walking bag of food.
He is about to get ejected. He is about to fucking die.
OR
Tommy dies in the prison and respawns in the body of a crow.
Phil and Techno are clueless that this angry injured fledgling is actually Tommy.
