Summary
Arenaria de Riva is personally requested by Caterina Dellamorte to aid Illario on a contract, but it comes with a catch. Caterina wants him to fail so she has more leverage to convince Illario he doesn't deserve First Talon providing her with a smoother transition down the road. Although Aren's no stranger to the seduction game, it feels wrong, but when the First Talon gives you a contract you do it. Aren realizes just how similar and broken both she and Illario are and she ends up finding herself wanting to save him from himself. How can she though when Zara Renata and Elgar'nan are both sinking their teeth into him? Initially set about a year and a half before Veilguard and continues through events in the game.
