This is set after Killian tries to spend time with Edith but she keeps refusing him. This is the part in chapter 34 of Manhua where they have sex before Killian asks Edith out on a date to the opera. This is my interpretation and a more detailed look into what feelings of insecurity and jealousy Killian is feeling and the sex that follows from Killian's POV. This follows the dialogues of the novel and not the Manhua.

Despite her best efforts, Edith is still being forced down the same path as the original novel's plot. At least, that's what it seems like. But when Edith finally waves the white flag and decides to just follow the plot after all, the novel again has other plans. Edith steels herself for the next main plot point: a failed attempt to seduce her husband... except... this time it isn't going to fail....
