Alright, Robby’s in a strip club, or pole dance club, or whatever the hell this place is, a place in which he didn’t want to be at in the first place, if he is honest, and one of his residents works here as a dancer, wearing women’s lingerie and having enough power to make the waiter sit him down on of the best tables and bring him a bourbon.
That’s a normal sentence, those are normal words that make total sense.
Another song starts, one single white light reaches the curtain at the back of the stage as it opens slowly to reveal Whitaker’s figure, who in the beam of light looks just as his stage name suggests, and he’s standing there posing with both hands behind his head and one leg stretched to the side and Robby feels a pressure in his chest so damn heavy he might be having a heart attack.

Dennis pouted. "You've fucked other residents."
Robby's eyes widened before his expression smoothed out into false neutrality. "Maybe I learned my lesson."
"Mm, maybe." Dennis ran his nails up Robby's neck until he was scratching at his scalp. Robby shivered above him and sighed out a moan. "I guess we'll just have to wait and see." Dennis then pushed Robby away and flipped onto his side to face away from him.

Squished together on their couch, Dennis sat between the two men as they both drank a beer.
“You seem down, Dennis. Anything bugging you?” Jack asked. He already knew the answer to that question.
“Oh- yeah, it’s kinda stupid, just-.” He could feel tears brimming in his eyes. “John just keeps doing this; it makes me feel so stupid.” He continued.
“It’s not stupid, baby. He’s being a real ass,” Jack said, his hand rubbing Dennis’s thigh.
“You don’t deserve that.” Robby’s hand was on his shoulder. Dennis hadn’t even noticed the movement.
“It’s really nothing; I think I’m just overreacting,” Dennis chuckled, wiping away the few tears that fell.
“It’s not, Den. He’s supposed to be your boyfriend; he should be taking care of you and spending time with you.” Jack’s hand moved up his thigh, getting closer to his crotch, giving it a soft squeeze.
“He doesn’t deserve you. You’re too sweet for him.” Robby’s breath ghosted his ear, his hand resting against his neck.
“Why don’t we show you how it feels to be treated right? Doesn’t that sound good, baby?” Jack’s mouth was inches away from his ear.
“Let’s show John how much he is missing out.”

“Come here, kid.” One of Robby’s hands catches Dennis’s and lands against his sternum, trapping his arm against his chest, while the other stays in his hair, fingers winding into damp curls. Dennis’s attention is everywhere and panicked. He catches a flash of Perlah readying the needle and a desperate sound punches out of him.
“Nope, don’t look at that,” Robby says, using the hand in his hair to force his head back, angling his vision away from the commotion and up towards him. Dennis’s eyes lock onto his, pupils blown wide. “Look at me. Yep, good. I’m right here. You’re doing so good, honey. Just keep those eyes on me.”
The IV tourniquet snaps into place and panic flashes anew in Dennis’s face. ”Robby—”
“I know. It’s just Dana and Perlah. We’re just pushing some fluids, no more drugs. You’re safe.” Out of the corner of his eye, Robby can see Perlah speeding through what has to be the fastest IV placement of her career, Dana keeping her grip on Dennis’s hand to stop him from jerking away. Dana shoots him a glance of warning and Robby tightens his hold. “Okay, quick poke now. Still just us. Deep breath, Dennis. I've got you."

Robby knew that Dennis was attractive, he had just the right amount of muscles, he dressed well for his body (thanks to Trinity), he had a beautiful smile, he was genuinely caring towards others, his laugh lit up a room, he was patient, he was kind, he was funny. So, yes, Robby understood Dennis was attractive, the number of nights he spent thinking about him just proved the point really.
But he was used to pushing those feelings down, hiding them behind a professional smile so nobody would know what he truly thought. He could deal with keeping his attraction a secret just fine.
