The only upside to this mayhem is the fact that Bucky's best friend, Steve Rogers, definitely knows what not to do if he ever decides to man up and pursue Darcy Lewis. The doorknob jiggled against the lock for a moment. A second later, it burst open as someone kicked it in. Steve didn’t think, he rushed the intruder and swung. He landed one punch in the face before the intruder grabbed Steve’s wrists and pinned them to his sides.
“Shh, shh, it’s okay, you’re safe,” he said. He had a deep, smooth voice like a breeze blowing through grass. Steve looked up as he paused. The man was big, taller than Steve was with a wide, gentle smile against a square jaw covered in a blond beard. “My name is Thor Odinson, captain of the NYPD. You’re safe, now."
Steve stared up into Thor’s face while the words registered. Safe. NYPD. Captain. Thor. The adrenaline that was coursing through his veins dissipated as relief flooded his body.
“Oh, thank God,” he sobbed. He crumpled to the floor. Thor caught him before he could fall the whole way. Steve sobbed with relief into Thor’s shoulder. “Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
“It’s okay,” Thor murmured. “We’ll take care of you. They won’t hurt you again.”

Then he sees his neighbor. His neighbor is the most handsome bear he's ever seen. He's seven feet tall, at the very least, and is broader than a chimney. Steve falls head over ass in love immediately.
And then it turns out his neighbor is literally a bear. Not just a bear, but a real, furry, snarling, honey-stealing bear. Bucky, it turns out, is a werebear.

When Clint comes in to SHIELD he's been on his own for almost four years, and he's been keeping himself level using conditioning techniques he's learned from a lifetime of abuse and neglect. Phil Coulson is the first to notice the imbalance – Clint's system seems to be all punishment, no rewards - but Phil's tastes aren't exactly average and it's none of his business anyway. Certain that what he wants is not at all congruent with what Clint deserves Phil keeps his distance, until a mission gone wrong sends the archer tumbling into an nasty case of subdrop and neither of them have any other choice but to take a chance on the other.

Privately, he apologises to Tony, who had almost died to bring Peter back from the dead -well, Peter and every other person in the universe- because clearly Tony’s almost-sacrifice would be in vain now, because yep, Peter was definitely going to die.
