The words couldn’t form properly in his mouth as his vision began fading rapidly. He felt himself lean over the table, almost falling to the side, only to be held steady by two large hands. Pressed against a broad chest, he felt a deep voice croon above him. As if thorough a blanket, the voice hushed his hazy attempts at saying anything. Warmth seemed to envelop him, and his thoughts faded to an indiscernible trickle.
OR: Yue Qingyuan decides that Shen Jiu can no longer be trusted to control himself. So, he rips all the control away from Shen Qingqiu and makes him submit in the worst way possible.

While on the middle of a mission, Liu Qingge gets a cryptic but not really concerning message from the Xian Shu Peak Lord (Qi Qingqi), he tries to ignore said message but ends up interested when his asshole shixiong is mentioned.
After ignoring her string of messages (threats), he gives in and returns to the sect, not really expecting anything.
And he was right! (Or so he thought)
Nothing seemed out of the blue but wait-
IS SHEN QINGQIU SMILING?!
(At Yue-zhangmen of all people)
Or: Qijiu makes up outside the scene and confused Liu Qingge returns and becomes even more confused in seeing the two interact together. (Maybe even a little jealous.)

"Jiang Cheng was starting to realize how utterly soft he was for his nephew. He had by now lost count how many times he had done something he otherwise wouldn’t because of the brat, and it was startling that he only saw it now.
He was also a sucker for kids with no family whatsoever. Since he himself grew up without much parental love after his brother was brought into the picture, he had found out that he had a sort-of savior complex. The feeling of wanting to save a child from an unhappy childhood overcame him every time he was presented with the opportunity to do it himself, and many a time he had contained himself, saying that it would only make it worse for them - he wasn’t in the right mindset to take care of yet another kid. Taking care of himself was already a problem even before Jin Ling came into the picture. But taking care of two? He couldn’t."

Was it a quick process? Did it take a mere ten days, or had a hundred years passed? Seasons came and went, but who knew how many days each one took? There was no way to tell time. What would he even need to tell time for? Both of them were already dead.

“Father spoke to you,” Jiang Cheng says, completely detached from himself when he realizes that and Wei Wuxian frowns.
“Of course he did. He said, he came as soon as he heard that I got into trouble. He said he’s not even mad at me,” Wei Wuxian says with a small smile and Jiang Cheng sees red.
Quite literally, because his whole world suddenly has a very reddish tint to it and then everything goes fuzzy.
Jiang Cheng has just enough time to think that this is not good at all, before conscious thought flees him and the last thing he hears is Wei Wuxian’s panicked “Jiang Cheng!” before he doesn’t know anything anymore.

Is there someone else with them? Surely Lan Xichen did not just say that to his brother or his brother-in-law.
“Xichen-ge,” Wei Wuxian whines and it’s so familiar that Jiang Cheng can’t help the little quirk of his mouth.
“No. He is not welcome in the Cloud Recesses and you all know it.”
“Wen Ning didn’t do anything!” Wei Wuxian protests and Jiang Cheng tenses.
Of course it would be Wen Ning, he’s following Wei Wuxian around like a lost little puppy. Jiang Cheng has to remind himself to unclench his hand, otherwise he might break one of Lan Xichen’s favourite tea cups and while he’s at it, he takes a deep breath, too.
