Summary
Bumped to the lowest step on the social ladder after his fight with Billy, Steve gets roped in with the cheer team. What starts as a favor to help them out when one member breaks her leg in turn for protection from the brunt of the bullying, sets the universe on a different path.
He befriends Chrissy and grows as thick as thieves with her. Over the summer he adds Robin to his friends as well. Meanwhile Eddie seems to have taken an interest in the fallen king, but Steve can’t figure out quite yet why Eddie is talking with him. Flirting with him?
AKA a rewrite from after season 2 till after season 4 where Chrissy survives and Steve and Eddie get together that explores Steve's fall to the bottom of the social ladder and the what if he was gay and knew.

Took a moment to think how despite everything—despite barely knowing the kid, despite all his preconceptions and assumptions, despite the amount of times Steve had purposefully acted like a smart-ass punk just to piss him off—Hopper had realized something tonight:

18 months after the earthquake, Steve starts having bad dreams. Which wouldn’t mean anything if it weren’t for the nosebleeds and the headaches. Hearing that clock can’t be great. Then Will feels Vecna getting close, and Steve thinks it might be best for him to sacrifice himself. He’s nice like that.

May 31st 1986, two weeks until graduation. Robin, Eddie, and Nancy are all set to walk across the stage, Eddie being given a free pass after the whole ‘almost framed for murder’ thing. The three have been trying to be excited about their graduation, but it feels almost mundane to be excited when Steve wouldn’t be there. They would be sat out on a football field in the blistering heat while waiting for their names to be called, with Dustin and Max in the crowd, cheering them on in Steve's place. There would be fake smiles plastered to all their faces, no matter how realistic they tried to make them.
None of them have genuinely smiled since Steve got Vecna'd.
Sixty-Five days. Steve had been in a coma for Sixty-Five days. The doctors keep telling The Party that it doesn't look good, that Steve's injures had been severe, and that they didn't know if, when, he would wake up.
But they refused to lose hope.
He'll wake up.
It's just a matter of time.

Summary
One night in November of 1983, a boy goes missing from Hawkins, Indiana.
He is just a body, a thick cuff locked around his ankle, chained with iron to a bolt on the hardwood floor. He is just a body, locked inside of a bedroom with an empty closet, a bed, a nightstand, and a cage. He doesn’t look at the cage if he can help it. He looks outside. He is just a body, staring out at a backyard he’s never been allowed to enter, where the grass is starting to brown from the heat of the sun. All he can see is dusty grass and tall trees, and a little shed at what must mark the edge of the property.
Only there is a body. Another body. A real human body—only, that can’t be right. Steve hasn’t seen anyone in … he doesn’t know how long it’s been, since the blonde man took him here. The blonde man doesn’t want him to see anyone, to be seen by anyone. All he wants is for Steve to be his, and to turn Steve into a body.
The other body is in the yard, moving on clever legs with slow graceful steps. His head swivels from side to side quickly as if he is looking for something. It makes his long curls sweep across his shoulders.

Summary
Sanemi flipped the letter to the back, then forward again. He read the sentence before, then the sentence after. If there was to be additional context, Giyuu certainly did not provide it within the four corners of his letter.
With no further explanation, Sanemi was stuck rereading those same six words over and over again until they etched as deeply as the scars covering his body.
“I am going to get married.”
After all demons have been vanquished from the earth, Sanemi wanders the country alone. The one tether keeping his mind from shattering is the letters Giyuu writes to him. Unable to write back, Sanemi can only follow along the former Water Hashira’s journey of healing through the years.
When a letter arrives announcing Giyuu’s intention to marry another, Sanemi is forced to confront his own feelings and decide if he can survive another loved one slipping away or if he’s ready to finally start living.
