“No, no, no, just watch.” Eijirou says almost excitedly as he takes a step closer, so that there’s less space between them. “If I start to lean in while I brush some hair out of your face, you won’t really notice.” His voice is quiet as he brushes the hair from Izuku’s cheek, tucking it behind his ear. “That way you’re letting me into your space.”
“What if your date has short hair?” He teases lightly, though his voice comes out a bit shaky, he blames it on the cold.
“Shhh,” Eijirou shushes him with a finger to his lips, “don’t question the master.” Izuku rolls his eyes playfully as he pulls his finger away. “And now we’re close enough that there’s only so many places for you to look, which includes lips.” And he’s not wrong.
Eijirou is so close to Izuku goes cross eyed from looking him in the eye, he looks away only for his eyes to land on his lips. Little points of his teeth poke out from the slightly open mouth.
“Now you’re thinking about it.” He breathes out as he looks down at Izuku’s lips. “So all I have to do is lean in.”

“Kacchan,” the man cuts in with a gentle voice. The bright stars in his eyes coupled with the aching familiarity of his entire person makes Katsuki’s senses go haywire. He’s surprised when he doesn't move away as the other takes a small step forward, “You’re crying.”

Katsuki finds Izuku in an unexpected place five years after the latter went missing and later realizes it had been just in time too—the idiot was about to do something idiotic again (but what's new?).
The world has changed with the apocalypse—Izuku's status is no longer what it was and mysterious sides are hunting for him. But this time, for better or for worse, Katsuki will do just about anything to keep him safe.
