His quirk was active despite being asleep, and the now flowing appendages had wrapped around himself several times over. It was why he could not move his left arm, as it had become trapped at his side.

The only thing Hawks knows at this moment is pain. All consuming, unending pain. Really, agony is a more appropriate word. It’s suffocating, mind-numbing. He can’t think, can hardly see, can’t hear at all- he’s never been hurt so terribly.
All For One has vanished from sight, he doesn’t know where. He doesn’t know if they’ve won, and really, he doesn’t care. He can’t care. He can’t do much of anything.
But… he can hear, actually. He can hear something a few feet away from him, a huffing, whining sound. It’s high pitched, young, and vaguely resembles a bird’s chirp. His throat rumbles with a responsive bird noise, but it comes out as a warbled cough.

A gasp behind him catches his attention, and he turns his head. The person in question was still struggling to sit up, broken glass and blood lying at his knees. He looks young, Aizawa could have mistaken him for a student even. From where he was standing he can make out several injuries, some which even look days old.
He approaches the young man cautiously, stopping an arm’s length away.
“Hey…you okay?” he asks gruffly. “You looked like you took a bad fall.”
The young man lifts his head and coughs into his hand, shuddering. His messy, deep blonde hair tumbles across his line of sight as wide eyes gaze up at Aizawa.
“W-what the hell…where’d you come from?” he wheezes, gripping his side.
(While on their way home, Aizawa and Yamada stumble upon none other than the newly debuted Winged Hero Hawks, alone and injured in an ally way)

The mocking laughter of the group of girls crowding him rings in his ears. It's loud, louder than it should be. The focus in his eyes slips from him, blurring his vision. His consciousness escapes to the back of his head. It’s comfortable here, like when he dunks his head under the warm water each time he takes a bath. Nothing can hurt him now with the world around him muted and soft.
“Oh my god, can you believe that? So embarrassing.”
Endurance is key.
He knows that if he stays, endures, lets it happen, it will eventually stop. It always does.

Summary
The last thing he remembered was Bokuto driving late at night down a questionably narrow road that was barely fenced off from a rather dangerous cliff that if someone fell off of they would likely die. Or get seriously injured. Or something.
He knew full well it wasn’t Bokuto’s fault. He was surprisingly a really good and very safe driver. But there was another driver on the road, one who clearly should not have been driving.
Next thing they knew, they were crashed into, shoved off the road, and rolling down a cliff.
Keiji was probably knocked unconscious after that.
