Summary
Shepard runs Spectre, a tattoo studio on the Normandy Shopping Street, where the other stores are owned by and employing friends that he has come to consider his family. It's a good life in this community he's found and he has no complaints, especially not after the life he's had growing up.
But when a flower shop opens in the unit across the street, his life is disrupted in the best way possible when he meets the owner, the good natured and handsome Kaidan, whose presence is unexpected but welcome. Shepard's never been this drawn towards anyone, both fascinated and scared by the intensity of the attraction he feels.
If only his friends can stop being so involved in his love life, then maybe he'll be able to figure out his feelings for Kaidan.

As cliché as it sounds, timing truly can be everything. What if Alec hadn't had a chance to propose to Lydia yet? What if Isabelle figured out what was going on much sooner and was the one to try and help Hodge when the Institute was breached? What if Hodge was knocked out and she was left alone to fend off the Forsaken? What if she took a crushing blow that left her unable to fight back and Magnus was the one who ended up saving her life? And not just once, but yet again when they realize that Isabelle has been poisoned and needs his magical expertise in order to save her?
Timing can be everything, and yet somehow, things are still just as complicated for Alec.

Even if Thorin did return his affections, according to Dwarven law, Bilbo would never become anything more than a bedwarmer, stealing moments of closeness under the cover of night and sneaking out of the King’s chambers in the wee hours of the morning, forever hiding his true feelings under the façade of a friendship worth of legend.
He couldn’t do that to Thorin, and he couldn’t do that to himself.
However, heavy is the head under a heavy crown, they say. And maybe, Thorin would be the one who'd need just a little push this time.
