Dark and complicated Bingliu dynamic that I adore. Unhinged Binghe who doesn’t really understand why he’s so possessive and protective of Liu Qingge and a traumatized and lowkey unhinged Qingge who is relaxed and comforted by the sight of his rapist’s heart being eaten by Binghe. Love this dynamic.

Herbal-scented steam wafts up from their cups, sitting patiently on their table. The vial from the apothecary sits under Shen Qingqiu's critical gaze, held in an almost too-tight grasp. Any tighter and the glass may shatter, but Luo Binghe says nothing. In his other hand is a slip of paper, where "instructions for use" are written in the apothecary's nervous scrawl.
Luo Binghe sips his tea. "Shizun doesn't have to do anything he doesn't wish to."
"We would only do what needs to be done?" Shen Qingqiu asks. Something on his face looks guilty, like he can't quite believe that he's considering this at all.
"We would only take care of him, Shizun," Luo Binghe says gently. "Give him exactly what he needs. The pampering he deserves and won't allow."

Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe decide peak lord Liu isn't taking good enough care of himself. If he won't do it, then they'll simply have to take matters into their own hands. -

Absolute fave fic in the Silmarillion fandom and was my first Silmarillion fic. Elrond is willing to throw hands with the Valar for House Feanor and the entire fin wean family is 100% willing to throw hands with the Valar (again) for Elrond. 10/10 fic.

The dragon has three heads.
Daenerys had been taught about dragons, about her family history and the great beasts they rode. About their thick hides and near impenetrable scales. About their horned heads and fanged maws that can spit fire at a moments notice. About their leathery wings which sounded like the roar of thunder with each beat.
She had never been taught about them having multiple heads. The three headed crimson dragon of her House's flag was to represent Aegon and his sister-wives, of the three dragons they used to bend the Seven Kingdoms to their knees. It was figurative.
But this one she cradled to her breast had three heads at the end of its sinuous serpentine necks. The crown of each head was dotted with small, barely-there horns with more along the length of the spine. There were also two tails, the barbed tips curling around her forearm like a babe clinging to its mother's finger. Its scales shone like gold, glittering through the ash coating its body.

Naruto never really did pay attention to his surroundings. Shikamaru looks at the burning end of his cigarette. It mirrored the image he envisioned of the light crumbling in his friend's eyes so early in the day as the boy now follow a pointed finger to the graffiti on the wall opposite them.
There, sprayed against the concrete, a white snake writhed, devouring its own tail.
An inaudible silence fell upon his friend and Shikamaru glanced over. Naruto's jaw was set, his smile receding into a more serious thin line. But the Nara knew him better, and in the blonde's eyes they contrast with a faint far reaching hope.

In their attempts to reach Sasuke, Naruto and his friends are exposed to the rot just beneath Konoha's surface. In over their heads and trying to keep afloat, they soon draw the attention of those that poison its roots.(Edited the beginning chapters to read and flow better)
