She leaned her cheek against his back as the bike took off. Before she met him she would have been shocked at even the idea of getting onto some man’s motorbike to go wherever he decided they were going. But she didn’t feel threatened by Jason, not in the least. She felt safer around him than she had in a long time.
“Okay?” he called over his shoulder as they slowed to a stop at some lights.
“Okay!”
She wondered if her instincts were leading her astray. She wasn’t stupid, the 200 pounds of man between her legs was obviously very dangerous. The scars on his knuckles were impossible to miss.
But he treated her so carefully, so gently. Like a little bird in his large hands, delicate heartbeat fluttering a mile a minute.
She could blush at just how much she liked it.

Summary
Bruce had been watching Sheila for a while now, trying to figure out why she had called him. They had hooked up once, almost a year ago, and she had disappeared into Gothams streets. Bruce hadn’t really tried looking for her, he had been young and drunk, but a year out as Batman had matured the young man greatly and he regretted his foolishness ever since. None of that mattered right now. All that mattered was the small, helpless child nestled in Sheila’s arm.
Or- Bruce Wayne is Jason Todds father. While he’s figuring that out he gains another child, an orphan named Richard Grayson.

Summary
At first glance Thomas was sure the victim was already long gone, just a burned, mangled husk attached to tubes and wires. But he was shocked to see that the heart monitor was slowly beeping. “What happened?” Thomas immediately questioned. “There was an explosion in an abandoned building around Park Row. He was found in the rubble. He was resuscitated on the scene and coded once in the ambulance. Aside from severe burns, broken bones and trauma the worst injury seems to be a wound at his throat caused by a sharp object.” They rattled off more information as Thomas quickly prepped for surgery. Every second was going to have to count to save this one.

Jason dies in the explosion after his throat is cut by Batman's batarang. But somehow he wakes up he in an alternate universe where Thomas and Martha Wayne didn't die, and Bruce never became Batman. Lost and alone Jason struggles with his injuries and his own existence, but the Waynes are determined to help him every step of the way. Jason finds himself the pseudo older brother to a teenage Dick and a baby Damian. Little do the Wayne's know that Jason has a knack for "adopting" kids. He starts with his own tiny counterpart.

Of course, he needs someone to bail him out, and Batman is the supreme authority on the Watchtower and his dad so it makes perfect sense to call him. Unfortunately, Batman is still mad about those warehouses he blew up a few weeks ago, and karma is an asshole.

Summary
Batman gets into a situation during an alien invasion and could use a rescue. Unfortunately, Dick and Jason don't think the Justice League is up for the task. At all.
So Dick lets the League know that he will be handling the situation and to expect Batman back by the end of the night. He even promises that he won't be going alone. No one should stand in the way of a Batfamily rescue, even if the Justice League doesn't know there's a Batfamily at all.

Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

However, the person responsible for the seemingly one-way trip isn't there to meet the Bat Family on the other side, leaving the suddenly homeless and penniless father to take care of his family in a world where Batman never existed.
Mostly focuses on Bruce's relationships with his boys, because we write what we like to read and I love protective daddy!bats. Rated for language.
