Having been left from debt by your mother, your father is unknown. You navigate through a tough underground world where the only places that make money are porn filming, stripping, or filming a cesspool of snuff. You try your hardest to avoid a common family well known to the undergrounds. The Sonnellino's. Snitches surround you as you hop from job to job in this underground section of the city of Chicago. The territory of Chicago segregated by race and gender, you avoid the territories of the Italian, Polish, and German mafia as much as you can. Until one day, while in a regular shift of work as a bartender, your life changes.

His desire to be rich was fulfilled and he gambled for entertainment, once he figured out there was more to get then money and more places to gamble then casinos, life for Chance became real interesting.Mafioso lived for the drama. He didn't have enough time to be bored but he had too much to be satisfied. He claimed to be a Gambler himself, risking his life for schemes that could blow up in his face at any moment. Being the leader of a Mafia came with risks, intriguing ones that set out his motive for money and power.

“... You have things to attend to,” Chance said, gesturing vaguely toward the phone. “Important things, right? You shouldn’t be wasting time on someone like me.”
He was trying to use the business talk as a shield again, a desperate attempt to push Mafioso back into the role of the cold, distant Don. He hoped if he reminded Mafioso of the work, the man would just let him go and allow his feelings to die before it’d even have the chance to rekindle again.
Upon hearing that, Mafioso’s fingers tightened in Chance’s hair, tugging it back that forced Chance to look up at him.
“You really think I’d choose work after I finally got a hold of you?” Mafioso said, annoyed at the wall Chance was trying to build again. “Three weeks of running, and all it took was one straight flush, a few kisses…”
His idle hand slid to caress Chance’s thigh, massaging a thumb in the muscle.
“... and yer’ right back on my lap.”

Chance and Mafioso are hook-up partners, but after one too many nights shared with the Don, Chance started to develop feelings for him. Realizing this, he pulled away in hopes of suppressing them.
Mafioso does not take this lightly.

The moment he wriggled free from this damn concrete wall, he’d be gone faster than a dime in a street hustle—Mafioso wouldn’t even have time to blink.
Chance could practically hear the smugness in that crooked, gold-toothed grin. “A few nights, eh? Gotta hand it to ya, you’re a real conman at heart. Even now, tryin’ to lowball me… get comfy with the idea, you’ll probably be stayin’ with me longer than just a few nights,”
