“Yeah,” Arthur chuckles without any real humor behind it. “It’s… Not ideal. There isn’t a whole lot to do here but I’ve tried to make the most of it. It’ll be a lot nicer with you here! Which by the way, I don’t think I caught your name before?”
Lewis doesn’t want to say it. If Arthur wants to pretend like he doesn’t know him then Lewis isn’t giving him his name.
“Call me Wraith.” He decides instead.
“Wraith— fitting.” Arthur nods, mostly to himself. “You already know my name— I’m assuming Reverb used it?”
“He did.” Lewis lies.
“Makes sense… Well, uh. I hate to say it but you should probably get comfortable. We might be stuck here for a while.”
(An encounter at the mansion ends with Lewis' anchor under Reverb's control. As it turns out, Arthur's body is also under Reverb's control, which leads to an interesting reunion in their now joined subconscious. Not that Arthur knows who Lewis really is.)

The sun had been warm on his fur, the comforting feeling of the wind brushing over his resting form drawing him in and out of sleep. For the first time in almost a year, Wukong was doing some self-care, much to his student's delight. The monkey had been running on fumes since before the Lady Bone Demon had made her official appearance, and after almost passing out during training, MK had forced his dear mentor to take a break, which led to the older admitting how much stress he’d been feeling as of late.
His chest was free of any weight, even missing the usual yellow shirt he wore with every outfit. He could hear the faint rustling of leaves as some of his monkeys lept through the trees, their soft chirps putting him at ease. He felt well and truly at peace, almost like nothing in the world could go wrong for him.
Of course, he just had to jinx himself.
