Summary
Branch had fallen behind the travelling pop tribe. All grown ups, injured included, were busy with their own families and kin to notice the straggling grey bubby behind them. They have been travelling for 2 days since their successful escape from Bergen Town thanks to the ingenuity of their King and his ancestors who had been digging the tunnel for a few generations now. Branch is five and as an orphan not many had time to care for a grey troll, to them he was but a thing amongst the background noise. Stopping for a break to catch his breath by a river, Branch realized too late that he was left behind. Hoping for some troll to notice his disappearance from the travelling tribe, he sits and waits....and waits........and waits.

April has always been aware that her honorary brothers were turtles, but only truly remembers this when they each display their own turtle habits that link close to their original species.
